What is ‘Multibuild’?
In a sentence: Its what your grandfather’s ‘pegboard’ wishes it could be - in the modern era
To be clear: We did not invent Multibuild.
We are however very proud to offer our design services to your space, and build facilities to bring this system to a reality for you.
You’ve probably seen old-fashioned peg board. Its an easy concept to grasp where there’s a grid of holes and you put hooks in the holes, to hang your tools from.
You may even have seen the Swedish Ikea “Skaddis” which is similar but a matrix of slots instead of round holes. Its the same, only different.
Both boards are decent. Almost everyone starts out with one or the other for their garage and first workbench, but then quickly realize that’s about the limit: The garage. Because nobody really wants that look in their living space.
Plus both systems suffer from the same limitations: They basically just a grid for hooks. There’s some variations on holders for screwdrivers, there’s a few 3d printed things for both. But once you get a little deeper into them than the basics you feel trapped.
Every builder, home owner, mechanic… we’ve all been there.
Then one day a really smart engineer came up with a 21st century solution to the old-fashioned peg board concept with “Multiboard” which grew into “Multibuild”. A modern eco-system of backboard and mounting concepts consisting of hex shaped big holes and small holes that are all threaded. Then he devised a vast number of connectors, hooks, plugs, snaps and so on that let you connect all sorts of things to that board.
Meaning you are no longer limited to simple hooks and racks.
Meaning now you can mount entire shelves, drawer systems, custom tool mounts.
Meaning you are no longer limited to the garage.
Meaning you are no longer hiding your organization: You are displaying it proudly.
You can put this system anywhere: Your kitchen, bathroom, office, bedroom - and yes, you can still use it in your garage
Unlike other systems Multibuild boards are 3d printed. They are not pourous fiber boards that don’t hold up to humid conditions like your shed or bathroom. Plus we make them to match your decor. White in the kitchen and blue in the guest bathroom? No problem. Bright mix of primary colors for the nursery? You got it!
They are modular and custom made to fit your space. If you need a long, thin section to put over your headboard we can do that, along with the custom remote control holders, bins for all those little things, charging stands for your mobile phone and smart watch, and it all works together. Those same accessories, bins etc. can be moved to the system in your home-office or gaming center. Put your collectible up out reach of the little tykes. Whether its spices or spray paint display it with pride.
